Sheboygan Elk’s Lodge #299 Makes Generous Contributions to SASD Special Needs Program
This year, Sheboygan Elk’s Lodge #299 donated over $2,300 to the special education department at the Sheboygan Area School District. Each summer, Elk’s Lodge #299 has a Family Elks Fest picnic to raise money for the community. They have used that money to generously donate thousands of dollars each year to the Sheboygan Area School District therapy department for equipment to better the function and education of the special needs children in the district.
Without the support from community organizations like the Elk’s Club, these amazing pieces of equipment would not be able to be purchased. The equipment purchased allows the students to gain access to their educational environment, improve their academic performance, and participate in activities with their peers that they would not otherwise be able to do.
